Location: Ovidenia Street, no. 9
Place of worship built in the second half of the 17th century, a great period for the county of Vrancea. The building is mentioned in the notation from 1687 in which some Christian made an act of donation to the monastery “that was being built in the upper side of the Fair”.
The construction of worship is rendered by the Austrians map drawn up in 1789 under the name “Ovideni Monastery”.
Structurally “the facades are simple, without decorations. Its monumentality is given by octagonal spire that rises on the narthex, on a square base, coated with a bulb-shaped roof.” (National Cultural Heritage built in Vrancea County – Museum of Vrancea).
