“Tachita Nistor” Tannery
Location: Rodnei Street, no. 12
The blossoming of the local industry in the second half of the 19th century, created the favourable environment for the diversification of the means of processing, which led to the settlement of “Tăchiță Nistor” Tannery positioned in the old neighbourhood “Tăbăcari”.
Built in 1896, the building represents a destination representative for the architectural style of this type of buildings in the century.
Structurally “It was built in the shape of L with ground floor and first floor. The western facade highlights a gable following the line of a brace with small windows and a small carved inscription “founded in 1896”.” (National Cultural Heritage built in Vrancea County – Museum of Vrancea).
